Creed

One Night, Two Babies - Kathie DeNosky So where should I start? Well I guess I will start with one thing, this book is your typical awesome Kristen Ashley book. Well, how awesome it is depends on your taste.

However, unlike other books by Kristen Ashley, the female leading character is a bit different. She's a badass girl. Hooray for the badass couple.

*sighs* I am ranting like a lunatic again.

So the book tells the story of Tucker and Sylvie.

They were childhood lovers, but everything ended when Tucker left Sylvie all of a sudden.

And the broken hearted Sylvie taught herself to move on.

But years later, he showed up again.

"Tucker Creed. My first love, my protector, my savior.
My betrayer." - Sylvie

And Sylvie realized that she never got over Tucker.

"Exactly how in the fuck was I standing in my bathroom, brushing my teeth, Tucker Fucking Creed at my back after I hadn’t seen him for sixteen fucking years, talking to me about partnering on a job with him and not groveling or writhing in pain after I kicked his ass?" - Sylvie

She hated that she loved him. Because him leaving didn't just hurt her emotionally, but physically too! she got sold by her father to a guy, and got raped too

"Shit, fuck, shit.
I couldn’t take it.
We’d talked about it. We’d talked. Frequently. Talked. Dreamed. Planned. Frequently.
I told him, we had a girl, she’d be named Kara. We had a boy, we’d name him after his Dad.
Those were my names.
My fucking names!
“You named her kids my names!” I screamed then attacked."

And Tucker had his own explanation for leaving.he got tortured and stuff. And his kids was his way of remembering his love for Sylvie.

“I’m not what you want, Sylvie, I get that because it’s the same for you as it is for me. I’m not what you want ‘cause I’m what you need.” - Tucker

“Born to love you, baby,” he repeated. “Die lovin’ you, my Sylvie.” - Tucker

I lifted a hand to his face and brushed away the thick hank of hair that fell over his eye and his head righted so he could look at me.
Then he said the five most precious words I ever heard in my whole life.
“I wanna make you mine.”
I closed my eyes as joy and relief swept through me.
Finally!
Then I opened them, looked at him and lifted my hand to touch the peridot resting at the base of my neck.
“Too late. I already am.”

Gucci, guess that's all for now :D
